Palate 2 Palette 2014

Guests strolled, dined, and danced the night away at Palate 2 Palette 2014 on April 26th. The stroll, which took place in the Southside, provided guests the opportunity to view different types of art throughout seven different galleries. Each gallery had something special to offer, from floral arrangements, to food, to live entertainment. This year, the H*Art Gallery had a Bananas Foster live demonstration, while the Debarge Winery acted as home to the Fashion Gallery. The Church on Main housed the annual Youth Gallery, which allows high school students an opportunity to display their work in a gallery setting. Niedlov’s Breadworks was the place to go if you wanted to see the featured artist, James Parker, and his incredible vegetable dress. His team came to town ready to amaze everyone with their creations, ranging from sugar-pulled accessories, to gladiator outfits made of bread, to an edible wedding dress made entirely of wafer paper! The Craniofacial Foundation Gallery, held at Cobblestone Rue, had pictures taken by owner Garrett Nudd of CFA patients and families. The Foundation Gallery also displayed the collaborative auction pieces created by patients and local artists.

Following the stroll, guests enjoyed desserts courtesy of Whole Foods, champagne, and even a whiskey luge at the “Bubbles & Sweets” after-party at Track 29. Willie Kitchens and his band rocked the house, and the WEAVE Dance Company worked with Chattanooga acroyoga performers Matt Fields Johnson and Liz Overton to create an original performance to kick off the theme of the unforgettable evening—“Fire & Ice.”

Fun was had by all and plans are already underway for P2P 2015--Save the date for April 25th, 2015!
