Palate 2 Palette
A Benefit for the Craniofacial Foundation of America

The fourth annual Palate 2 Palette event benefiting the Craniofacial Foundation of America (CFA) was held in Chattanooga's Southside on April 1st and 2nd.  The festivities began Friday night, April 1st, with the Youth Gallery reception.  Over 700 students, art instructors, family and friends took the opportunity to preview the jurored exhibit prior to the gallery stroll.  The Mad Hatter was the theme at the 1601 Gallery with floral designs by Divine Designs by Amanda and hor d'oeuvres provided by the Broad Street Grille.  On display were 126 pieces of art highlighting the talents and creativity of art students from 16 area high schools.

On Saturday, April 2nd, we were joined by 800 guests who enjoyed  beautiful weather as they strolled through ten galleries in the Southside district savoring the fine wine, cuisine and breathtaking floral designs at each gallery.  Guests were surprised and delighted at the Living Arts Gallery where they were greeted by live models in couture dresses and gowns created entirely from balloons.  Balloon artists Marie Dadow, from Arizona, and Christopher Cope, from Las Vegas, created these unique living works of art.  The Photography Gallery featured the talents of Nashville portrait photographer Ed Rode along with Jim Begley and Keith Mitchell who specialize in HDR photography.  Guests enjoyed the uniqueness of each gallery including glass-blown ornaments at Ignis Glass, meeting the featured artists at Chenoweth & Halligan Studios, and  live mural painting at the Hart Gallery.

As patrons entered Loose Cannon Studios for the "Bubbles & Sweets" after-party sponsored by Volkswagen Group of America, the were treated to a "flash mob" dance production choreographed by Miss Lindsay Fussell.  Guests then entered the Avatar themed after-party which featured live Avatar dancers, amazing decor and lighting from Sound Force Entertainment, champagne, desserts by Sodexo, and soulful music from Willie Kitchens and his band.

The CFA would like to thank our many sponsors and volunteers for their support of this much anticipated event.  We look forward to seeing everyone next year for Palate 2 Palette 2012 to be held on April 14, 2012!
