On September 16th, the Craniofacial Foundation of America held its 18th annual "Golf Classic" at the extraordinary Council Fire Golf Club. More than 100 players, volunteers, and guests came out to support the CFA, with 20 teams competing for the coveted Tom Rhyne Jr. Cup. Lunch was provided by Champy's Chicken as players registered and viewed raffle items. Following a day of play, guests were invited to a delicious dinner catered by Grandview, and awards ceremony.
Top honors and glory in the Championship Flight were awarded to the members of the Jannx Medical Systems team, made up of Kenny Lee, Jim Brett, Ron Hart, and Duane York. Second place in the Championship Flight was awarded to the Frontier Medical team, represented by Corey Strain, Dr. Hath Harvey, Dr. Philip Megison, and Wayne Brantley.
The First Flight Champions were the members of the Shelter Insurance team, Bobby Bennett, Barry Ratchford, Rob Martin, and Jacob Ratchford. Second place in the First Flight was awarded to the Cardinal Health team comprised of CFA President and Golf Chair Jeff Loy, Zack Loy, Randy Hess, and Matthew Crowe.

After dinner, Samantha Coleman, a 15 year old patient of the Craniofacial Foundation and Tennessee Craniofacial Center, shared her story. She was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate, and was treated from day one at Children's Hospital at Erlanger. She summed up her experiences by saying that the CFA and TCC teams "don't just change faces, they change lives." Dr. Sargent followed Samantha's sentiments by thanking everyone for their attendance and reminding them how important their support truly is.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the event!
